September 20, 2012 – There's no time to waste. In my last email I gave you the low-down on Shell’s plan to frack with the Sacred Headwaters, the region of British Columbia where three major salmon rivers come together, and how the communities and wildlife there are being put at risk.
Over the last week, more than 7,500 supporters have added their name to our letter urging British Columbia's government to ban fracking for coalbed methane in the Sacred Headwaters. Join them in speaking up to BC Premier Christy Clark and Minister of Energy, Mines, and Natural Gas, Rich Coleman by adding your name to the letter NOW!
Even though the fate of the Sacred Headwaters is in limbo, one thing is for certain: your voice can make a difference.
With the end of the moratorium right around the corner, now is the time to speak up to British Columbia’s government and tell them to ban fracking for coalbed methane in the Sacred Headwaters for good! The moratorium on Shell will end in just a couple of short months, and we need your voice to protect this important region!
If you haven’t yet done so, take just a minute now to sign our letter to British Columbia’s government and let them know that we won’t stand for the destruction Shell threatens to bring to the Sacred Headwaters.
Thank you
