– see iconic ship, interview captain, crew and Greenpeace founder
Oct 8, 2013 (Vancouver) – Greenpeace’s flagship, the Rainbow Warrior is coming to B.C. and you’re invited to be among the first to climb on board. Built in 2011, the third Rainbow Warrior is Greenpeace’s first purpose built vessel with special features that make her among the most environmentally-friendly ships at sea.
At 10 a.m., October 9th, join Greenpeace B.C. Director Stephanie Goodwin, the man who gave Greenpeace its name, Bill Darnell, Captain Derek Nicholls and the ship’s crew for a close up look at this unique sailing ship. They’ll answer questions as you tour the vessel and are offered a rare opportunity to walk through the Rainbow Warrior, which is making its first ever visit to the area where Greenpeace began 42 years ago.
The ship will be open for two days of public tours at North Vancouver’s Burrard Dry Dock Pier before leaving for Victoria October 18th. The Rainbow Warrior will be holding public open boat events in Victoria October 19th and 20th.
