Delta BC,  March 14th 2013 – The annual Pilgrimage to Burns Bog takes place on Sunday April 21st, on Earth Day Weekend. The community will gather to hear from the following speakers on endangered species and ecosystems, with a special emphasis on current threats to Burns Bog.

Anne Murray, noted naturalist and author, is the keynote speaker. She will be joined by environmental campaigners Ben West and Joe Foy, speaking on the theme of environmental stewardship and respect. Guy Gentner, retiring MLA for Delta North, and former Vancouver city councillor Fred Bass will share some of the long history of conservation in our communities.

The Burns Bog Conservation Society President Eliza Olson, and the founder of the Aboriginal Red Door Society Aline LaFlamme, will also speak. The event will include musical performances by the Singers of the Sacred Web, Nick Epperson, Jane Slemon and Bob Ennenberg.
